Re: Monthly pub meet
Could I have a quick show of hands of who is coming this month.
Have booked a larger table than they normally give us to make sure there is room for us all, but would like to let the pub know if we are not going to need it.

Main menu looks good. What about the puddings though, no menu for them on the website? We have to get the priorities right

Re: Monthly pub meet - New venue for Feb 16 onwards
I'm told they don't put puddings on the website because they regularly change their puddings and folk are disappointed when the website pudding isn't available.... if it re-assures you Keith, they do puddings with cream, ice-cream or custard - last night they had sticky toffee pudding, syrup sponge, apple crumble, and a few others I cant remember... but you get the drift ... unfortunately we were so full after the main meal we couldn't even manage one between us - you'll have to be pudding tester

Our No Show apologies again. We may have told you that I will be 1 Year Younger on Wednesday and I do not know of the Lunch Party that may have been arranged.
A better excuse may be that as Ann has sold the house, I need 26+ Hour days until next month to get my act together.
In my working days, we moved many times and 10s of thousands of miles around the world but I only had to call an International Removals, sit back, unpack and somebody else picked up the Tab. Not this time. A house full of collected junk and a 3 car garage with classic car restoration tools and equipment including a 4 post lift.
Thank goodness that I am getting younger.

Re: Monthly pub meet - New venue for Feb 16 onwards
The Wood Farm restaurant was very good last night even if they did get my drink order wrong
Good food and lots of it. Very friendly staff too. It was a struggle to take in the pudding but it was worth it for the apple & raspberry or 'rhubarb' crumble
It would have been an interesting and long route back if I had just listened to the Sat Nav. May be on a warm summer night I might try its route out but I think my route was much more direct and quicker

We look forward to seeing you on Wed, 9th in order to get out from this state of chaos called house moving.
Our best route will I believe be to go up the Fosse and turn right.

Re: Monthly pub meet
The search for a more permanent venue continues, so for this month I suggest we meet at the Queens head at Bretford, usual time of 7:30 onwards.
If any new member which to join us could you please drop me a private message or mail so I know your coming (and thus book a large enough table) and also so I have a way to get in touch in case plans change.
