Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
I second that, in the autumn last year I was lying in the road tightening a fixing on the exhaust, when I realised I had been lying under cars for over 60 years. In all that time I've never had my own garage. However, this Summer I hope to build a car port. Can't get a garage in unfortunately.talkingcars wrote:4 poster? I'd love a garage.

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Can't even do that, I can only get the F outside the house by parking parallel with the road.

Had that situation myself for too long, have had off-Road parking since we moved here, when I retired, ten years ago.talkingcars wrote:Can't even do that, I can only get the F outside the house by parking parallel with the road.

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Any more updates?
Also, interested in that rear caliper position - is this a B&G off the shelf adapter now?

Re: MGF Trophy rebuild
Hi Rob,
Andy had the engine running this past weekend and it sounded great. However, the rear caliper position has proved to be a problem. The bracket came with the BGD discs and looked great whilst the car was up in the air. But once resting on the suspension the handbrake cable badly fouls the arb, so the bracket is not right. I have a couple of spares from my old TF and they are a different shape, so going to try these.
Slowly all coming together now
