Re: MGF Kempenrit - July 5th 2020
Due to the all too well known issue, the Kempenrit is postphoned to 2021: July 4th. As dropped inmy mailbox today:
Dear MG lovers,
As we have seen for many weeks now, the corona virus is everywhere. Because of this, all planned MG events are either cancelled or moved to a later date.
After thorough considerations and awaiting the decision of the Belgian National Security Council whom are guiding us through this pandemic, we are forced to move the date of the MGF Kempenrit with one year to 2021. The MGF Kempenrit will be held on Sunday July 4th 2021, and not on July 5th 2020, so keep your schedules free around this time if possible! More info will be given in the coming months through the usual channels like our website, social media and e-mail.
Participants currently (pre) registered for the planned 2020 edition will be automatically registered for the 2021 edition as well. If you’re not able to make it to the event, please contact us by replying to this e-mail. You will be unregistered and get a refund of the paid amount.
We hope all of you can join us safe and sound next year. Together we’ll make it a great day and we’re already looking forward to it.
Even in these corona times, the MG slogan still stays viable: “SAFETY FAST! “
Warm regards,
The MGF Kempenrit Team

Re: MGF Kempenrit - July 5th 2020
Great shame, but only sensible thing to do in the circumstances.
Un booked things last night, my little car sitting there unaware of the frantic work I put in prior to all this to get the MoT done in time before the clamp down - now totally unimportant in the scheme of things worldwide.
The organising team's work will not be wasted - it just seems a long time to July 2021!

Re: MGF Kempenrit - July 5th 2020
Likewise, we prepared Ghost do do the MG Car Club Italy, MG by the sea in Sorrento (that’s pretty far down south with an MG ) and no Kempenrit wil pass without me joining. And it is a ‘96 car we only use for events, we use the car a lot, there is a lot to do to keep it in propper condition. But we are there, still alive and joining. Keep up the spirit and well join again at any venue we can. See you in July 2021 in Belgium!

Hi Kasper
We would love to, but sadly not
Your rescheduled date clashes with the already announced new date for Classic Le Mans

I have to withdraw that I'm afraid...
I sold my F, and I'm currently working on getting a TF, but I won't be on time

2022, over a year before the event and expecting not to have a replacement TF?
Guess this will be your first MGF Kempenrit. Do go if you can meet the date as it is an event worthwhile joining.

Re: MGF Kempenrit - July 5th 2020
No need to, I was puzzled as well with all these shifting dates.
But nevertheless I'm already preparing on my next MGFKempenrit (done all but one: Edition nr 1).
It would be nice to learn in advance if any British fans will come over to join. Absolutely we'll be there at exit number 3 in the far south west area of Belgium. Trying to present a nice tour towards an overnight stop with in-time arrival for the pre-drive gathering of the tour. Just as we did in the past with up to 40 UK cars and a handful of Belgian, Dutch an German drivers. Remember MGF Kempenrit is the biggest MGF and TF event on the continent.

my first non uk F/TF event was a Kempenrit. I cant think of a better introduction to fun friendly European events than these, or what was Tour De Lux.
