Canadian Events 2012
It seemed like the right time to add a new Canadian thread.
This past weekend saw two MGF Register members attend the Vancouver All British Field Meet in Vancouver, BC
There were 651 British cars on the field with about 150 of them being MGs.
Sean Windrum and I had our Mk1 MGFs there, mine a Charcoal MPi, and his a Charcoal VVC
This will change next year as we both have new MGFs coming from Japan, coincidentally both in Volcano!
Our Charcoal cars will be sold on to new Canadian MGF owners, and hopefully they will be at next year's show to keep
the Volcano Cars company!

Re: Canadian Events 2012
What a great show it was, with the 50th anniversary of the MGB and having Lotus as the featured marque, there was loads to look at!
It was nice to meet you Rich, and pretty funny that we will both be replacing our charcoal F's with orange ones.
I wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea to pool our resources for consumables like filters etc and have a bunch shipped at once and share postage... Just a thought...

Re: Canadian Events 2012
Sean, Sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye on Saturday. The prizegiving went on forever and you had made your escape by the time I got back to the cars. It was good meeting you, and not just because you are the only other MGF owner for 700 miles! I can say that as I got an e-mail yesterday from a fellow in Calgary who had a container with 2 MGFs arriving today. The more the merrier!
I will have to try to make it to one of the events on the island. I went on the All British Vancouver to Whistler run on Sunday. The weather did a total flip-flop and we had rain all the way up. Still, it was a good event with about 100 cars on show at the Whistler Olympic Park. The crowd really enjoyed having the cars there and we had great feedback. The drive back down the Sea to Sky highway was dry so I got to open the MGF up a little, bearing in mind that it was overloaded with the shopping Anita did in the village!

Re: Canadian Events 2012 & 2013
I'm going to be very busy!
I'll start a new thread with that event list to get it away from the 2012 post.
