Guide to Events, Natters
and Convoys

As some of you may be new to all this, you may be wondering
what goes on at these events, from pub meets to convoys. So
here's a quick guide so you know what to expect.
We aim to have a regular monthly pub meet in the East
Anglia Region. We all meet up at a pre-arranged date and time,
greet everyone, and then it's in for a drink (soft drinks for us
drivers of course!) and a bite to eat.
Its not all talk about cars, as we come from all ages and both
sexes, so it's just a good old natter about anything and
everything and plenty of laughs too.
Also having plenty of MGF owners around you can pick the brains
for technical knowhow, see other peoples modifications in the flesh and
talk to other owners about the quirks of our car. But mostly its
just a good natter, like going down the pub to see your friends.
Then when youre ready you can head back home, with some good food
inside you and a welcome change from the usual day out.

We will also be doing some road runs when the weather is
nice, around our gorgeous county, in convoy.
Driving in convoy is nerve racking for the first time, but I
promise you, you cant help but grin like an idiot as its that
much fun!

There are a few rules to keep everyone safe and happy, and to
put you at ease so there is nothing to worry about:
- First, keep a safe distance from the car in front, so as to
avoid any 'friendly fire' incidents.
- Secondly, look after the car behind. Keep an eye on them and
wait for them at any awkward junctions.
- Thirdly, if a car does fall behind, flash the car in front so
we can all slow down and wait for them to catch up.
- Finally, the last car in the group has his lights on to mark
the end of the convoy - which helps the leader keep an eye on
everyone to make sure no one is left behind.

Newbies are always put in the middle, with the most
experianced convoyers first and last to look after you.
Worried about breaking down? Dont be, as we all wait with you
until the rescue services are on their way - if we can't get you
going.
Convoys range from just 4 cars to as many as 50!!!!!
Its something you have to try at least once.

Then there are the big meets, where we meet up locally and
then convoy in.
![[image]](http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f250/Jonny_WoW/MGFest_07/DSC00524.jpg)
Places such as Silverstone and Gaydon among many; and of
course our annual MGFest event.

We even have been known to venture abroad, where we meet the
international registers.

So theres plenty to keep us F'ers happy all year round, from
local meets to yes, even track days!!
So keep an eye on the events page of the website, or the forum
where we will announce any social meets in our area. Also keep a
lookout for MGCC meets (known as Natters), track days, race
events and everything in between.
Hope to see you soon.
