This was the third Arctic Circle Run instigated by Scarlet fever. Last year we had around 40 cars and raised over £700 for the Stoke Mandeville Spinal Foundation and this year the Register is supporting the RNLI. We got off to a fantastic start with over £1500 raised just on this event alone thanks to the efforts of the many people taking part and the Just Giving website.

Certain pockets seemed to have raised more cash - special mention goes to the residents of Bexhill, Ashford in Kent and Stevenage who produced some outstanding donations and also big thanks to the anonymous person who gave a personal donation of £250.

If you were anywhere on teh M25 on the evening of the 5th February you could not have failed to have noticed the group of over 60 MGF/TFs and one MX5 ! as they traversed the entire circle of the motorway at a stately 60mph.

The official start and finish was Thurrock Services with a second equally large group joining at South Mimms, a smaller contingent joined at Chertsey with the entire group together for some 60 miles on the southern section.

It was time to dress up and keep warm as with hoods down and temperatures heading towards freezing it was a testing drive but heartwarming to know how much cash we had rasied.
