Brooklands MG Day 2009 could not have been in more contrast to the same time last year. We exchanged the snow storms and ice for clear skies and sun shine and that brought the MGs back to Brooklands again to join in our annual celebration at the birthplace of British Motorsport. With the F/TFs this year lined along the finishing straight towards the giant curve of the oval banking as we'd outgrown our previous allotted area nearer the clubhouse it still produced a great sight.

The Register had it's stand tucked behind the Wellington Hanger which , whilst still in the F/TF parking area, meant we were hidden from the main action nearer the paddock. Church Square Autos from Shepperton provided two cars for our display, a crystal white LE500 and a 75th Anniversary F whilst w added the MGCC Star Car to balance out the other side of the Gazebo. This was to be its last show appearance before receiving new body panels in the first stage of its TF conversion.

The Test Hill action was in action again and several Fs undertook the climb , a little easier than the originals would have down in the 1920's, some were a little more enthusiastic than others and wheels could be seen leaving the ground as they crested the summit. Paul Bridgman filmed his two runs up the hill and you can see them from inside the cockpit by clicking the video link above.
