A late billing as one of our main supported events took us to the home of the older MG, Abingdon, to follow our visit to the home of the modern MG, Longbridge.

The Abingdon Country Fair is a large country show with an air show attached and a large section for classic cars. The Abingdon Works Centre run an area just for MGs and this year the Register held a stand within that area.

With such a wide variety the show is understandably spread over a large area and there is a large general public attendance.

A good number of F/TFs turned up and we saw Stew's ongoing project with both its Lambo styled doors no in place and drawing attention from passers by.

One F of interest had a sunroof cut into its hardtop which is something that is pretty rare. A lovely 75th Anniversary MGF was chosen as the winner of the best F/TF of the day and Stew walked away with the bucket and sponge for dirtiest car!
