| Our second bowling extravanagza of the
year took us back to the Guildford Spectrum where we once again
monopolised two lanes.
We had seven bowlers this time with some of them vying for the
overall 2006 bowling champion award. I was vying for the wooden
spoon myself and after coming third last time settled for a place
lower down the table .
Adrian, Dawn, Paul, Rob, Elaine, Kevin and Tim eventually got to
the lanes after a couple of us experienced a little hold up on the
M25 making us half an hour late for kick off.
Nonetheless the championship was soon underway and this time we
had an extra handicap of students on the lanes to either side including
one who decided to bowl down Elaine's lane instead of his own at one
point. Did he get a high score Elaine ? |

Despite these handicaps we were soon
bowling in earnest and Kev was leading the way with his inimitable
pro bowling style as you can see from this picture. However he was
having trouble adapting to the lane surface Guildford and Adrian
began to creep up from behind to give care a run for his money.
In fact Adrian and Kev both got over 150 points in the final game
and so qualified for a free game each . Well done .
The rest of us made sure our bowling balls headed for the gutter
as often as possible but were ecstatic on the odd occasion when all
those white things at the end fell down .
