BORDE HILL GARDENS
Weather was fine, gardens were lovely, a nice lot of MGs in a field,
Gymkhana, Autotest, Pride of Ownership, MGCC, MGF Register ...ah a
typical summers day in the South East. The F Register has traditionally
attended the MG Car Club South East's summer gathering for several years
now and for the last few we have held our summer games competitions.
This year was no exception and we ran our usual Hoola Hoop and Target
Boules competitions with this years rotational game - the Radio Control
Tuk Tuk sprint. A tricky challenge involving controlling your noisy Tuk
Tuk around a specially designed course on hardboard in the fastest time.
Many tried but it was predictably one of our youngest competitors, Tom
Nicholls, who took away the laurels. Graham won the Hoop La and
David Boyd took away the Boules rosette along with the overall winner
trophy.
The F Register always chooses and F/TF of the show with the winner
receiving a trophy. This year it went to a rather nice green TF complete
with green hood MXI 2521. (sadly I've forgotten the owners name perhaps
you'll get in touch if you read this !.) |
