2008 ended with a flourish at the Jovial Sailor in Ripley a matter of days before Christmas itself arrived. Xmas dinner for the South East Region also means the Southern quiz, test your knowledge on things in the south and events we've been to as well as general Xmas knowledge. Graham and Claire were this years proud victors. The Hot Wheels Awards have been on going since the inception of the South East region way back in 2003 and we're now in our 5th year. You can find out previous winners by trawling back through the archives. We're interested in 2008 though and we had another batch of worthy recipients. David is trying to catch up with Neil Sutton in the Maddest moment category with his two wins against Neil's three, it might be easier now that Neil has moved to Scotland of course ! Will anyone else do something crazy this year ...who knows . Member of the Year is always hotly contested and we had a tie situation for much of the year between Rob and Paul. Finally though Paul edged ahead and took the laurels. At the end of the evening Paul presented Tim with a collage of South East events signed by the members as a special thank you gift which was much appreciated. Now we have 2009 and its adventures to look forward to...... HOT WHEELS Award Winners 2008
