The second of this year's ten pin bowling challenges took us back to
the Spectrum at Guildford where we commandeered two lanes again. Spring
Challenge winner Paul Bridgman was defending his honour but was
suffering from tennis (or should that be bowlers ?) elbow however he
still put up a valiant fight to keep our reigning champion Kevin "The
Maverick" Watson at bay. Laney was also sporting an in jury having
fallen off her Vespa the week before !
Paul could not quite hang on though and The Mav snatched the
Autumn crown from him. Was it enough to take the overall championship
win though ? We'll have to wait until the Hot Wheels Awards to find out.
We had first timers Mark & Abby with us which was good to add some more
spice in to the mix, let's hope we see them again in the Spring. Varying
bowling techniques were employed as can be seen in the photographs as we
all tried to emulate Kevin's ballettic moves as he guided the ball with
unerring precision down the lane, sadly some of our moves were much less
precise !. And the results were :-
| Kevin "The Maverick" |
271points (60 point handicap) |
| Paul B |
255 points |
| Rob |
197 points |
| Mark |
190 points |
| TimM |
187points |
| Adam |
176 points |
| Abby |
145 points |
| Laney |
123 points |
| Em |
110 points |
