Looks like spring had just about arrived by
the time of the third annual SEF Bunny Blast cunningly re titled the Bunny
Hop this year as the route took us around the hop fields and Oast Houses
of Kent. How many were there though - Michelle reckoned on 42 and she set
the challenge to spot as many as possible. Carl and Angela won that one
spotting just over 30 as they went around. I think you needed X Ray vision
to spot the others !! It was good to see Rod Sawyer with his new 2005MY
platinum gold TF and Ralph in the TF160 Bittersweet along with Stu in his modified
"Great VVC" car. Tony & Lynne are back in the MG fold
again but not quite with an F - they now have a ZR160 but let them
play with us ! Adrian & Dawn, Tim & Liz, Tony & Edd,
Angela and Carl and Kevin were also there ready to tackle the
country lanes of Kent on a sunnyish morning. To add to the multi tasking
en route Michelle had also provi9ded historical notes about the villages
we passed through as well as a photographic competition . With all that
going on as well as navigating it's no wonder we took a couple of wrong
turns ! We all made it to the Lighthouse at Capel Le Ferme safely though
where we had lunch after a short wait until everyone was sitting down
together ! Dave was the flag bearer in reward for his and Michelles
splendid efforts in organising the event. Well done. What the Dickens
will these two be planning for us next I wonder - keep an eye out for 2007
!
