1995 was a big year in the development of the MGF

The prices were announced in August and the basic 1.8i was to be sold at £15,995.

The VVC would be for sale at £17,995.

On July 24th Volume production began in CAB2 at Longbridge.

On July 31st the first production car rolled from the end of the line at CAB2. It bore theVIN of AD000251. The car was preserved and presented to John Coultas of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust at Gaydon (Now known as the Heritage Motor Centre).

On the 4th August the Advanced build was introduced and volume production truly got under way.
