Mike & Jan

First out of the starting blocks are Mike & Jan Hall who planne a ten day trip.

Mike explains the plan .... "Overnight Portsmouth - Caen ferry Sunday 11th, taking a leisurely stroll down the west coast, stopping for a couple of days in La Rochelle, then across the Pyrenees for a night in the mountains, before on to Monaco.    The itinerary I had in mind was to probably  stop Friday, Saturday  nights in Monaco before heading back, with an overnight stop Monday, then getting the Tuesday night ferry back."

Mike's Itinerary .....

Portsmouth - Caen

3 nights in La Rochelle

1 night Loubressac (Pyrenees)

2 nights Monaco

1 night TBA (probably Orange)

1 night near Moulins

Caen - Portsmouth

John & Lyn Ponting

Lyn & I thought of arriving in Monaco on Friday for 2 nights and leave mid morning on Sunday for a gentle drive to overnight somewhere around Sisteron. Then blast home on Monday for the last speedferries crossing and then home.

Tim & Liz Morris

We've booked the Columbus for two nights - the Friday and Saturday  - we've also managed to book Speedferries now leaving on Sunday 11th and getting back on Thursday 22nd. We're still filling in the bits in the middle - so far we're doing a circle - stopping at le mans on day 1 then two nights on the Ile De Re outside La Rochelle. From there we're heading to the Massif central area then across the Milau bridge to Montpelier then across to Monaco.  We're coming back via the Alps with a stopover at Larche on the Italian border. We may do a circuit of the Col de Turini on sunday morning. We'll then head off to Annecy via the Col de vars and the Frejus Tunnel. From there to Nuits St Georges and then on to Reims before home.

Roger Middleton

Roger has booked the Columbus and has booked Speedferries for the crossing. Taking four days to travel down the western side of France arriving on Friday and then back via Italy and through one of the tunnels into France again. Using Logis hotel chain.
