The SEF first run of the year took us down to Hampshire where we met up with the newly formed South Coast group. The usual convoy formed below the Dartford Crossing to head around the M25 and on to the next meeting point of the A3 Services at Wisley.  Another four cars joined the convoy here to drive the rest of the way on the A3 to Petersfield.

A short while later we wound our way along the A272 a short distance and pulled on to the gravel forecourt of the Seven Stars pub. Kris Ford and the South Coast Group were already there and we parked up in a long line in the pub car park. Twenty four MGF/TFs ,one MGB and a Hyundai were joined by half a dozen or so Morgans who parked opposite.

Why a Hyundai - sadly because the owner, who only had the F for a month , was using it as a courtesy car as the F had spent most of that month in the garage and it was still there !.

We all enjoyed lunch and an MGF natter before heading out to the car park again where boots were lifted and engines examined - it's amazing how many different modifications you can make to an MGF !.

A fantastic record beating turn out for Kris on his inaugural South Coast meeting. I wonder if any other new area will be able to beat this one ?
