We have been making a habit of visiting the Fairmile at Cobham over the last few months so we thought we wouldn't change that habit and held our annual Hot Wheels Awards and Xmas Dinner at the same location. With balloons, Crackers, hats and turkey we had our own separate area which was just as well as we launched rasping balloons across the tables before getting down to the serious matter of the Xmas quiz. A new innovation this year the questions were based on the MGF and teams had to answer a few simple, and some not quite so, questions about our favourite model. It was hotly contested and ended in a tie between Adrian & Dawn and Ian & Liz. The tie break saw Adrian quicker off the mark and reap the reward of a small bottle of red wine.

With turkey and Christmas pud consumed it was time for the Hot Wheels Awards - Now in it's fourth year the trophies were presented by Tim , and just for a change he didn't award himself one of them as Dave noted !. The prize winners are listed below along with some of the other award winners throughout 2006. There were 25 events listed on the SEF calendar for 2006 - some were local , some were games, some were runs, some factory tours and some took us further afiled. It was good to see quite a few SEFers on the continent with us in Belgium and France as well as Wales on the Coast 2 Coast  and  supporting our charity event in Bristol.

Adrian thanked Tim for another great year of the SEFers with a bottle of wine and he even got the icing off the cake....literally, as it was the MG symbol from the F Register Xmas Natter quiz prize cake.

We now look forward to 2007 and hope to see a lot of you at our events and meetings throughout the year - which should see the launch of the new TF as well as celebrate the fifth anniversary of the original TF.
