The Official DVD will be available for Christmas 08 at www.mgfregister.org
MGFest08was brought to you by the MG Car Club (MGF Register).
It took place at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon on the 26th and 27th July 2008
The event built on the success of the MGF10 celebrations which were held at the Heritage Motor Centre in October 2005. At that event there were over 500 MGF/TF cars present celebrating the tenth birthday of the MGF.
In 2007 we held our first weekend show ,MGFest07, at Billing Aquadrome. It was a fantastic weekend attracting MGs from as far afield as Ireland , Spain and Sweden as you can see from the many photos of that event HERE
For MGFest08 we returned once more to the scene of some of the MGF's greatest parties:-
The Heritage Motor Centre.
This year the shows main sponsors were the MGF Centre and Sterling Automotive and we are grateful to them for their support of the show and the MGCC.
We also had some very special guests in the form of NAC MG UK who not only brought two of the new MGTF LE500 cars to show us just days before production starts at Longbridge but also another that led our Heritage Run from the factory itself to Gaydon.
The weekend included live bands (Engine Room of the Apocalypse and Krisis and very Special guests the John Verity Band), MG bar, Special MG Festive-ale, Seminars featuring Roger Parker and many others, two Saturday road runs, a very special limited entry Heritage Road Run from Longbridge, traders, competitions, displays, food, on site camping, bouncy castle, assault course, rolling road, climbing wall, photograph competition as well as Go Karts , Landrover course and much more including entry to the Heritage Motor Centre itself with it's fantastic array of motor industry exhibits and special MGF related cars.
2007 was the Silver Jubilee of MGs produced at Longbridge and for 2008 we particularly welcomed the owners of those MGs built in that era as well as the ancestors of course !
