You don't need the code to programme the fob. I got one online, it came with a little device which plugged into the diagnostic socket and it matches the car to the fob. Cost was £80 and I got £20 back when I returned the device, and an email with the emergency code as that can be read from the car. ...

Have you checked the tyre walls for bulges - could have flat spot.
