My steptronic is a 2001 so right on the year for the changeover from mems 1.9 to 3. How can I tell? Is it just on the ecu?

Today i replaced the discs and pads all round. They were only replaced a few years and a few thousand miles ago but due to the low use they were extremely corroded and glazed beyond salvage. They caused judder and required excessive brake force. So new discs and pads. The fronts were a pain as every...

The 60k mile interval is to cover for wear. The 5 year interval is to cover degradation. Would i risk it? Probably. Would i advise someone else to risk it? Probably not. You can use it as a bargaining chip. If it was pristine and full history and from a dealer then its going to be close to the askin...

Before i bought mine i nearly bought a purple one from liskeard. It needed some work in the end and he dropped the price down to £800. It was on eBay, maybe still is

Oh and good news is that it doesn't appear to have been stood for a long time. According to the mot history. Might be worth checking the brakes and handbrake though
