MGTF 135

Standard 1.8 135 with cloth trim. It's a 2003, but is on the private plate MG02FFF. Just 34000 miles. Passed MOT first time in April. Clean bodywork (apart from a few little dings). Underneath and sills etc were treated last year by Krown Rustproofing. Colour matched hard top in good condition with ...

Re: Engine wants to die when slowing to stop

Hi, Thanks for your suggestions. It ran awfully yesterday, but today took it on a long run as I had to travel to get the damaged rear screen replaced and it was fine from the minute I turned the key. It was sat idling on the drive for five minutes or so before driving, but not sure whether that made...

Engine wants to die when slowing to stop

Hi, So another engine issue. When I slow down to stop, putting the clutch in, the engine revs seem to hold momentarily at around 1200 revs, before dropping to 800, then yo-yoing between the two before levelling out at around 800 revs. Car feels like it's going to die as I stop (but always seems to h...

WANTED Hard Top in silver

Hi everyone,
Probably a bit of a hit and hope, but if anyone has a decent condition silver hard top for sale in the Midlands area for a decent price, I'd give it a good home.
Thanks.

Good bodyshop in West Midlands (or nearby)

Hi, I've got an 02 plate MGF. I'm looking for a bodyshop in the above area who can do a good job at a reasonable price. I need some work on rust patches on my rear arches (again) and some general tidying up elsewhere. The arches have been done once, so might need some cutting and welding done (or so...

Re: MGF - Strange Engine issue

Hi. Sorry for the late reply and bumping of the post. I followed the advice and emailed Mark at KMaps. He emailed back straight away and advised it might be a Lambda sensor issue So I ordered a pair of new ones from Rimmer Brothers, as my MGF has two, and got them fitted by a local mechanic. That wa...

Re: MGF - Strange Engine issue

Hi,

It's a 2002 standard 1.8 non vvc. Runs on normal unleaded. Engine-wise, as far as I know, it's standard. It has a Janspeed exhaust but, as far as I'm aware, that's the only modification.

Cheers.

MGF - Strange Engine issue

Hi everyone, New to the forum and the MGF register and a recent member of the MGCC. In February I brought an MGF which has a strange engine issue and I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on what the issue might be. The long and short of it is that the engine runs incredibly roughly....
