Re: Hardtop Headlining Renewal
I did 2 hard top linings and did it in bands as you suggested. I used high temp spray adhesive on both surfaces and used a roller to press it down. Very pleased with the results. Don’t forget to overlap around the edges then cut back for the fasteners.

Re: swop seats from a 1997 MGF to a 2005 TF ?
Hi, I’ve done the same. The SRS connectors under the seat are different and easily swapped for a none OEM 2 point connector. The bolts and mountings are the same. Seat belts also compatible in my experience. Good luck.

If you’re in the Midlands, I would recommend MG Obsession.

Just replaced all the upper ball joints, front and back and it’s made a positive difference to the handling of my TF.

Re: Car unsettled over bumps
Have you tried jacking up each corner and seeing if there’s any play in the geometry/ bushes/bearings MOT style - hold wheel at 3 & 9 o clock then 12 & 6 o block and move back and forward checking for movement.

Re: Heated rear window terminal and HT colour
PS I’ve got a snapped spade terminal on the silver one. I too have bought conductive glue but waiting for the weather to warm before I have a go at it.

Re: Heated rear window terminal and HT colour
I’m for Xpower grey as well.
Goes really well with your silver TF. I’ve got the same colour TF and have a black and a silver HT but prefer the black. The paint on top of the black one was not great so I stuck a matt black Union Jack on it![🤣](//twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/svg/1f923.svg)

Re: Replacement of glass rear window in 2004 TF
I fitted my own - took a couple of hours. Tools needed are a drill, suitable sized drill bit to drill out old pop rivets and pop riveter to fit new rivets through the same holes. Look at the condition of the rubber seal along the bottom edge of the hood. I replaced mine at the same time using a neop...

BAS also sell the replacement glass section which zips in at the top and is secured by replacement pop rivets along the bottom. I’ve got one on my TF - can recommend.

Re: URGENT for Instructions on how to fit mgtf retro bonnet light
Saw this on the mg-Rover forum with a follow up question: Since MG-Rover were too tight to put a bonnet light in my TF, decided to fit my own....at least they still left a hole in the bonnet skeleton to allow me to fit one! And I am quite happy with the wiring, it went in ok and looks alright too. I...
