Plenty of original mesh ones on eBay. I have one and rear view is fine and it folds if needed. I believe there may be 2 heights - the lower works best with the hood.

PS my hood was in good condition so I chose the cheaper and easier option to replace glass section.

Hi - I can only speak for the MGTF, but it is a pretty easy process. My car had existing wiring and switch for a HRW. I used a BAS glass in mine. As you say, the ride is ‘firm’! Trophy cars also sell the soft ride conversion kits but they’re a tad pricey. I bought used items which weren’t too difficult to fit once I got my hands on an impact wrench!

Think there was something on the mg-rover forum about fitting Audi TT sun visors together with the Audi clips. I’m tempted and looking for good used ones on eBay!
