. His opinion is that neither need fitting??? Whatever, I'm past bothering. Prob now is an affordable replacement. TBH Roy not convinced by the LR gasket myself as IMHO it's just treating the symptom and not the cause of the problem, have also been reading of late about quite a few secondary failur...

Hi, guys, finally managed to log on, think I'm on my fourth password :lol: Got the Head gasket sorted, worked out like: Head gasket (normal, not LR ) fitted, new belts, water pump and MGR "A" type sevice( whatever that entails), oil supplied by me( Mobil 1, FULLY SYNTHETIC :o ) Total cost £530.30. ...

I've been looking at buying a replica trophy front splitter from a guy in birkenhead. Does anyody have any idea how much one of these is likely to cost to have sprayed? TBH I like 'G', did think about one for my old 'F' but MGFC price was just silly!! :cry:

Perhaps you could get the door caps done to match........ plastic can be 'chromed'.. :)

Any verdict yet on your F's problem by the way??..
