Re: Battery powered impact wrenches - any opinions?

I've never found the need for an impact wrench. I always use a decent 1/2" socket set and a suitable handle. Sometimes I augment this with a long pole slipped over the handle for those difficult nuts. I feel that you can't beat the direct touch. Impact wrenches are for garages and F1 teams where tim...

Parts for sale...

I hope that this does not breach any forum rules... Over the years I have collected thousands of parts for MG Rover cars. I have decided that I need to clear some space in my spare room, so I am selling a lot of the parts. In order to do this I have set up a forum on ZetaBoards . I am doing this rat...

Re: What car cover

I've got a Cover-Zone exterior cover that I used on my MGF and TF. Since I no longer have either of these, I might sell the cover. I seem to have moved more into tripe-M cars now, owning a Montego Turbo and Maestro race car.

Well, no one made an offer on it. The GF got the angle grinder out and chopped it up. It is now in the bin.

Only joking. Now on ebay.

The GF and I will be coming to this, but not in an F (currently F-less). We will be in an Austin/Rover/MG of some description.

Re: Any members here good at Microsoft Access?

As others have said, Access is not an RDBMS. SQL Server is little better. Neither of these were actually created by Microsoft from scratch - they were developed from a single user file system. Row locking in either of these is a joke. Instead, I would recommend either MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Re: back axle oil change

When the F was launched MGR stated that the gearbox was filled for life, i.e. you never had to change the gearbox oil. Later they modified this to changing the oil at the 105k service.

Don't forget, MG Rover did make one 4 wheel drive MG TF - the HPD. That used an electric motor to power the front wheels.

Re: Rimmers Aerosol Paint

It is actually illegal to send paint aerosols through the post. The fine, if you get caught, is quite hefty.
