Re: MGF20 - 1st & 2nd August 2015
There is an option on the online shop just to buy either one or two museum tickets only. If you are not bringing an MG you do not need a show ticket as part of this package is for entering your car in the show. Non MGs will be parked in the general outer car park area. When you order your museum ti...

Re: MGF20 - 1st & 2nd August 2015
Hi there, I'd really like to attend this event and order my ticket in advance... but I don't have an MGF/TF. Can I buy the ticket online? It's asking for model and vin but as I don't have an MGF these details seem irrelevant for me. I have previously owned 2 MGF's and a TF, the 2 MGF's bought brand ...

Re: MGF20 - announcement
Hi guys, I'll be coming along to this. Although not an active MGF owner at the moment, I had my first new one in 1997 followed by my second in 1998. My first MGF event was the 2nd Birthday at the Heritage Motor Centre and had a fantastic time. I remember meeting at Brooklands and getting a few pictu...

Getting current registered keeper of my old MGFs
Hi guys, I'm keen to find the whereabouts of my two old MGFs that I owned from new in 1997/1998. There's a form on the DVLA website that you can fill in to get the address of the current registered keeper, has anyone used this before? The form is: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...hicle/V888.pd...

Details of final 2005MY MG TFs.
Hi guys, Is there anywhere within the forums/on the web I can get some information on the final updated 2005MY MG TFs that left Longbridge just before the collapse of MG Rover? Do you know how many were produced and what the VIN ranges are? I've seen two different numbers on the same website, a numb...

Re: Number of Trophy's produced... and colour breakdown?
Just seen your post Rob and you mention the two versions of the Trophy. Do you know how to tell them apart? As in the post above, I'm interested in a June 2001 car, what build would this be?

Re: Number of Trophy's produced... and colour breakdown?
I've just read that there were two different Trophy builds, what's the difference between them and is it possible to tell them apart by looking? I've got an original Trophy brochure and it states the car doesn't have ABS, was this relevant to all Trophy's? There's a car I'm interested in, a 2001 Y r...

Number of Trophy's produced... and colour breakdown?
Hi guys,
Does anyone know the number of MGF Trophy's that were produced for the UK market and how many of each colour were made?
Thanks,
Richard.

Re: Is it possible to restore an MGF to as-new condition?
I understand what you're saying about buying an actual Cup car but the main reason for me wanting to do this is to learn the skills to restore a car. I have no knowledge whatsoever of the mechanical side of things and wanted to learn. My initial thought was to restore a normal road MGF but then I go...

Re: Is it possible to restore an MGF to as-new condition?
Hi Bandit, Thanks for the detailed reply :) You seem to know an awful lot about what is needed so is it possible to give me an idea of the parts that would be required (e.g. suspension, braking system, clutch/gearbox, engine upgrades if I'm not able to get hold of a VHPD engine, cut-off systems etc)...

Re: Is it possible to restore an MGF to as-new condition?
Thanks for all the information guys. I've been thinking about it for a few days and I've come up with a new idea. I've always wanted an MGF Cup car and I've been thinking that instead of restoring a car to use as a road car I'd strip it down and create a Cup car replica to use as a track day car. Wh...

Re: Need a wind deflector, cant see a wanted section
Hi there, I don't know if you're still looking but I have a Mike Satur glass windstop that I took off my MG TF back in 2010. I bought the car used and it was already on there so I don't know how long it had been on but it's in excellent condition. I obviously don't have the original packaging and th...

Re: 1996 mgf full rebuild passed its MOT!!!
Wow, what a fantastic looking car... and I personally love the Cup alloys and red interior, the car looks stunning. I've recently been bitten by the MGF bug again (I bought my first new MGF in 1997, second in 1998 then a used TF in May 2010) and would like to restore an MGF to as-new condition. I wa...

Information on MGF Cup Cars?
Hi guys, I'm trying to find out some information on the MGF Cup Cars that took part in the UK MGF Cup in 1998/1999/2000. I've already asked people the XPower Forums and I was told to ask on here as there may be people that were involved in it from the start. I'd like to know the VIN numbers of the c...

Is it possible to restore an MGF to as-new condition?
Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying an MGF and having it as a project car to restore to as-new condition. I anticipate it taking me a few years to 'restore' as i know nothing about rerstoring cars and would like to learn as I go. What I want to know is is it possible? Are there enough spares around t...

Re: Another MGF, another rust question
Again, thanks for the info guys, really useful. You've out my mind at ease with that one, the other issue I have with the car is the bill for what looks like the gasket repair. It's apparently had the upgraded gasket fitted by Mike Satur (though supplied by the owner so doesn't appear on the invoice...

Re: Another MGF, another rust question
Thanks for the reply bandit, but the rust is on the panel next the door I think... would it still be beneficial to pop the bumper off? Does every MGF of this era have rust somewhere on, or am I just being unlucky? Every F I've seen so far has had rust on it somewhere, I am trying to find one that do...

Another MGF, another rust question
Hi Guys, I've found another MGF i'm interested in, but again it has rust. What's your expert opinion on this... would it be another problem of rotting from the back or will it be easily fixed? And will it be easy to match the Trophy Yellow paint? http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e169/fergusor/Drive...

Re: I've been to see an MGF, some questions...
Thanks for the help and advice guys, especially Rob and Bandit. The seller was going to take it to his local garage today to get them to have a look at the steering issue, needless to say I haven't heard back from him... a blessing I think. The car needed an awful lot of money spending on it anyway....

I've been to see an MGF, some questions...
Hi Guys, I've been to see a 2001 MGF VVC today and have 2 questions, would you be so kind as to help me out? The car has only done 20,000 miles so really keen on it. 1. Driving along the steering seemed a bit wooly, like it was quite vague dead-centre but when steering it seemed to snap to the left ...
