Re: Lower engine mount

Not too sure but I think Moto-Build sell what they call 'torque tamer' bushes for the lower engine mount. Just check out the MGF section of their site.
Hope that helps. :-)

Re: honda engine on f

Oh ya I'd love to do it, could you imagine a mgf with Vtec!!! It would also be quicker than a civic as it's not as heavy, a supercharger would probably be complicated but if I had the skill to do it I would definitly give it a shot. !!! You could get 180 out of your engine quite easily, as the Honda...

Re: honda engine on f

There are a few different type R engines, the K20A was in the EP3 civic and DC5 integra, and the beautiful S2000. The b16c was in the EK9 civic. The b18c was in the amazing DC2 integra. They produced K20 - 220bhp. B18 - 190bhp. B16 - 170bhp I don't think the engine you have would be worth the hassel...

Re: £500 to spend - what would you buy?

If I had that sort of money to blow I'd probably buy GAZ adujustable dampers and if I got them cheap I'd try and squeez a set of advan tires. Then I'd be satisfied....... For a few days anyway :-D

For a MGF I really like BRG, which I have , but if I went for a TF it just got to be X-Power Grey!!! It suits the car perfect. :-)

Re: Engine mount woes !!!

Hi Rob, thanks for the advice. I'll get it checked out as soon as it's back up and running The offical name for the bracket is as below: Rover/MG K Series Engine Mounting Bracket KKU106150 including Bolts x2 if you have one that would be great as I need to get the car up and running asap. I tried to...

Engine mount woes !!!

Hi all On Sunday I went for a spin after fitting my full polybush kit and new rear dampers, the ride was alot firmer but on backroads with poor surface it was more harsh than anything else. Anyway, that evening I was just leaving a friends house to go about a mile up the road home when on start up a...

Re: GazMG project thread - WIP

Really like the vinyl wrap on the dash very subtle, :-) the shifter looks alot better shorter aswell, I'd say it would look amazing with the Mk2 center consoul. I think I might be robbing one or two of your ideas!! ( don't worry I'll credit you if anyone asks ;-) ) keep up the modding and the pics!!!

Re: FOR SALE:MGF 2000MY Stepspeed

That's a really nice F, I love the contrasting hood looks classy. I really hope you get a decent price for it, it's a shame the way their value has dropped so much. Summer is around the corner so hopefully it'll bring the buyers out!!!!!
Good luck.

I don't know, I think it looks racey and different :) . After all it's only a coat of paint and you can always change it if you change your mind at a later stage. If I were you I'd go for it, you won't know till you try it. :thumbsu:

I'm 23, feel a little younger than your average MG driver, but I couldn't care less to be honest, it's a great car and the support from the MG community is second to none.

Re: F's in the Snow

Finally plucked up the courage to bring the F out in the snow, (last year had a bit of a 'moment' that shook me to say the least). Anyway have to say I never smiled as much, was great fun and quite controllable, as said already the heater is great so,..... I say, why not ? Be careful and you'll have...

Re: Newbie with issues.....

Hello and welcome :-) I'd say go for it if it has recipts for HG repair it 'should' be solid. But all older cars have their quirks and the F is no exception, but once you enjoy the car then you won't mind fixing it when things go pear shaped, as they will once in a while. Check for creamyness in the...

Re: optimate charger

I can't see why not. My trickle charger says it's suitable for cars,bikes,boats,camper.... etc. So i'd say there would be no problem, unless of course it's a 6v bike charger, which would be highly unlikely :-)

Yep I have the same problem, I keep a tea towel behind my seat for this purpose. I have tried to fix it or even just move the drip forward a few inches, but I've given up!!!
Just another "quirk" to a long list of "quirks" :-D
