Re: Which silencer for my TF160?

Thanks tou you all for your help. I took your advice and fitted the Daytona Supersports Silencer and Sports Cat, supplied by Mike Satur, together with Piper single bore tail pipes (I had previously fitted a K&N); the combined result is fantastic and just what I was seeking. Great sound under acceler...

Re: Virtual daylight conversion.

I have a TF and do a lot of driving on both rural and unlit 'A' roads. The standard dipped beam headlights were extremely poor and on one or two occasions whilst driving at night in the rain I 'lost' the road momentarily; very scary!! I fiited HID replacements nearly two years ago and they completel...

Re: Which silencer from my TF160?

The latter makes a 160 touch and go at MOT time, but its ok if MOT station are patient and take their time!! You would also need a MIL eliniator, else a w...

Which silencer for my TF160?

Hi folkes, I need to replace both the silencer and cat on my 02 TF160. I want a fruity sound but do not want excessive internal noise/headaches; ideally stainless steel with some performance advantage. The question is do I buy Scorpion, XPower, Daytona, Piper or what? Your experiences and recommenda...

Re: sick mgf

J Geoff F gave you first class advice yet you seem to have ignored it. If you don't follow his advice you won't have a leg to stand on with any future claim. You didn't actually expect the filling station to admit they have a problem did you? If the problem is with them it could cost them tens of th...

Hi Dave Welcome - It is good to see you on here. I for one will be keen to learn from your previous experience of Snetterton. There is no danger of making a pratt of yourself; you are amongst friends - we will only learn from the experience (which ever way we end up facing!!). :thumbsu: Cheers Stewart

Re: MGs on track Snetterton April 17th

I am down for Snetterton; I was the first on the list! It will be my first track day and I am really looking forward to it. I can't give you any tips but I will guarantee that you will love it. I attended North Weald with 'MGs on Track' last Friday and that was a great experience. I am sure that I w...

HI, If you were the 4x4 driver and with a little common sense, sit for a couple of minutes and watch the traffic flow! wait till the traffic stops runing the oppsite way and knowing the flow is in the direction you want to go, set off. Makes sense in my head! Colin ....'and with a little common sen...

Re: Windscreen washer failure

Hi Dick I have a similar but intermittent problem with the washers on my TF; the problem is definately with the switch on the stalk. At present if I wiggle it about it will usually work. When I get the chance I will take the switch apart and give the contacts a clean; I will be suprised if it is any...

On a similar note, I want to re-programme my 'spare' remote from my previous F to use on my TF. I have replaced the remote battery but the 4 quick presses does not activate it. I am unable to disconnect the battery as recommended above because I do not know the code number for my radio. Any ideas? S...
