Thanks,
Sounds a simple idea. I love this car. first car I have had in ages that I can tinker with
I Think I will revert back to the original wiring when I get a couple of days clear to check everything.

Hi All, I am getting to know my mgf (p reg) and have issues I am trying to sort out. going through the reciepts the previous owner had the cooling system altered so both fans come on at the same time. It also appears that a new temp sensor has been fitted making the brown one redundent for the purpo...

Re: I needed a car it was in budget so....
Thanks for your replies, Mykel. I look at that hood, the frame is fine so that would work if I get my needle and thread out. I am worried that the rad and engine bay fans are not cutting in. I have checked the fuses and relay all ok. If I short the two feed sockets on the relay the fans cut in, if I...

Hi,
The hood is tatty with a few too many marks. Can they be recovered? Also rear window is very opaque. Need a hood cover and storm cover. Apart from that it is fine.

Worried about cooling fans
Hi All, Any help would be apreciated. I have an early (p) mgf temps all ok but rocker cover feels very hot when taking cover off after a run. I have checked the fuses in the dash and under bonnet and replaced the relay. Fans come on when I bridge the two relay feeds (86 and 30 I think) but the fans ...
