Re: 2 similar VVC's

Yes that's normal, Y reg/51 plate cars switched to mems 3, tf exhaust fittment and no vvc on the inlet plenum (much like the tf160 but without the performance increase)

I've got the bits but waiting for some time off work to get it sorted, should be this weekend. Thanks again for o...

Re: Quad exhaust

Thank you guys, Apparently the hike is because if the car needs repairing after a crash, it will cost more to replace the exhaust and roll hoops, I am going to ring around when I've got a min, I've been driving 25 years with no accidents and no points, but hasn't helped that I've been a named drive...

Re: Pektron BCU question

Pretty sure the only two were lucas or Pektron the latter having a round fob instead of a rectangular one. Being a late 2004 it should be a Pektron (round fob)

I'm afraid you are about £1000 over the mk2vvc price territory and Imho you will struggle to sell at that price.

Yes mine were from Mike Satur, I also have the seat belt tidies - these require a small amount of sanding to your headrest stalks to fit but I couldn't live without them now :D

Re: Who is buying, and who is sitting it out ?

Re: Gear Change Troubles

Mine was doing that just before my slave cylinder decided to vomit clutch fluid everywhere. It could be a number of things, worth having a look at the whole system (master/slave cylinders, gear cables, clutch arm etc), or getting it looked at to see if you can find where the problem lies before it g...

Re: Payen head-bolts - £10

I may be mistaken then, I read the following from a very reputable person (also a site administrator) on mg-rover.org:
They yield (permanent stretch) a bit when first tightened then a bit more when the engine first warms up.

If you have breakdown cover then drive it a mile or so and then call em. They will love being right for once about it being the headgasket :)
