On my old VVC with a Trevor Taylor exhaust after removing the cat I noticed a slight increase in noise, more popping on over run but I also noticed the performance seemed to have reduced slightly possibly due to reduced back pressure so decided o refit the cat.

I agree Rob, mixing the GSD2 and GSD3 is a very bad idea, GSD3 all round should be ok in terms of handling. As Rob and others said the cars handling is very much dependant on the tyres fitted, especially in the wet.
