Re: Suplex Suspension
Good evening gentlemen. I thought I should write to let you know that the ride has settled in, and now I see no reason to proceed with my promised changing of the other 3 knuckles. The ride is so much improved, and the clunking is now minimal. I have the knuckles in stock now, so should the rattle w...

Re: Suplex Suspension
Good evening again Gentlemen, and "Gruss Gott" to Dieter. (no beta on my keyboard) Further to my knocking problem, and having taken on board what was writ above, I got my mechanic to strip the front offside Suplex unit and have a look. That was the worst offender, qua noise. Well apart from Kerriges...

Re: Solar battery trickle chargers
Good evening gentlemen I did actually buy 3 of these this winter. I have a problem in that my shed has no power, and the mower battteries go completely flat each winter, and that leaves one for the car. I got the 10W ones from the internet, I can look up the receipt if anyone is interested. I know 1...

Re: Any advise on Northern spain "must sees"
Sounds like a super trip. My wife and I love the Paradors. I think our favourite in the north there is Hondarribia, Spanish side of the border from Biaritz. The castle is half ruined, with a glass wall separating it. Bottle of Cava on the battlements to watch the sunset, then off to dinner. Outside ...

Re: Suplex Suspension
Thanks for that. I too would be interested to hear any other ideas for the clunking sound. Perhaps just resonance of the units as the suspension hits the end stops. Both Kerridges and B&G have assured me that the other bushes, wishbone linkages, etc, are in good condition. It appears that the shock ...

Re: Suplex Suspension
Enschuldigungen Sie mich! No offence intended. I know nothing of the history of the Suplex design, so I was just reading the label on the box. Another case of the Winnie the Pooh situation when he said "What seemed a good idea when it was inside your head, isn't always such a good idea when it is ou...

Re: Suplex Suspension
Good morning gentlemen. The last bit of my tale of the Suplex Suspension. On Thursday I went over to Brown & Gammon for them to look at my Suplex suspension. What a superb operation they have there. Not to mention an extraordinary range of customers vehicles in various stages of repair and restorati...

Suplex Suspension.
Good morning all. Further to my last missive, I write with the story so far. Firstly a big thankyou to Dean Gifford, of B&G. He has been very helpful, in touch with Suplex, who express surprise at the problem, and has arranged for B&G to change the shocks for me next week. Allbeit at my expense, unt...

Re: Newby from Ely, Cambridgeshire
Good Morning
Thank you for that.
I will await an opinion from B&G then.
The shocks that I had fitted the week before I bit the bullet, and went for the Suplex system, may be the answer.
I will check also with the chap that sold them to me.
Thanks again.
Regards Edward

Suplex Suspension
Good evening gentlemen. Having recently aquired an MGF for my wife at a local auction, we went to get some pottery and she took a shine to the little silver MGF in the corner, I wish to join your forum. The story may or may not amuse the hardened MG fans out there, but it is a cautionary tale of sor...
