Re: BLOWN HEAD GASKET - AAARGH!!!

Thanks Rob, will add a post when I get hold of a local mechanic and he gives me the bad news. Hi, did you manage to find a local mechanic to look at it? Where in South Wales are you? There's an independent mechanic in Pontypool that I've used to do cam belts and other bits & pieces on my TF. I'm ha...

Re: Rectangular plastic on dash passenger side of TF?

Hi Jan, I really like your cup holder solution - genius! I was just flicking through your photobucket account images - I can see how it developed - but where have you posted the original account of this this marvelous mod? :) Ohhh sneaky - I should've scrambled the photobucket links! :P I never wro...

Re: Cup Holders

Thanks Rob :thumbsu: The dash support is hidden behind a bit of thin black plastic (the bottom liner of an Aldi shopping bag to be precise!). I never actually got around to doing a how-to, although did take pics of the work in progress. It wouldn't take me long to add a bit of text to the pics so wi...

Re: Rectangular plastic on dash passenger side of TF?

Oh and the passenger footwell is where I've got my active sub located, it's not a perfect fit and leaves a bit of a lump in the covering carpet, but it's out of the way enough not to be an inconvenience to passengers

Re: Rectangular plastic on dash passenger side of TF?

Excuse the sponge(!), but this is the space available once you remove the air bag blanking plate and polystyrene. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa247/Fast_Jan/Cup%20Holdet/2013-05-26181713_zps4d10fd5b.jpg This is what a few people have done with theirs (I think it's an R25 tray) http://www.csmg...

Re: Cup Holders

I came up with an alternative cup holder a few months ago and have been using it successfully throughout the summer. It's still in need of refining aesthetically, but it does the job surprisingly well :) Perhaps I'll refine it over winter - though more likely it'll still be the same come next summer...

Newton Commercial still do the elasticated door pockets - http://www.newtoncomm.co.uk/cars/mgf/model-139/panels/1042-products-1042/ I find them great for adding storage space for sunglasses, jelly sweets(!) etc. :thumbsu: MGOC do the moulded plastic door pods with integrated cup holder (2nd item dow...

Re: Heart of England book club (Pencelli Campsite)

I'm really looking forward to this weekend, even more so now that Keith has got busy with his highlighter pen 8-) Chris Hathway and Rob Preece will also be joining us - apparently they have beer left over from Silverstone which can only be drunk whilst camping  I think it's just an excuse to si...

Thanks so much to Colin for the tickets, it's been several years since we'd been to this as a group and it was enjoyed thoroughly by all who accompanied SWMGF :) A few pics from the day. Re: Official MGF Register Calendar OUT NOW

I've just noticed something...why is the front cover picture different to the one that won the competition ? I thought it was to be the winner on the cover with the 12 runners up inside. There was a mix up with the printers unfortunately, but the pic they printed was submitted by me although it was...

Wales Weekender - A Request

Did anyone who attended the Wales Weekender happen to take any pics of Jerrys TF in the Oval Basin? X-Power Grey reg PL02... He was parked towards the bottom end on the right hand side but I'm not sure who was parked up near to him.
