Re: July events

If anyone fancies the trip to Abingdon on the 13th for the SWMGF charity day, you will need to put your name down on the SWMGF area (asap) as the numbers will be limited to 30 cars that can fit onto the central square in Abingdon opposite the museum. Still not got my hands on the southern run to Fes...

Re: EEOTY 2009

Yes, I will be at the MG's in the trees on Sunday Adrian - with a boot full of brochures :D Should be there with my brother & family in his MGB for this event. I may even have my nephews wife as a navigator so that will be a change to not to read the route myself. See you there.

Re: June events

Hi Stuart I had a great Silverstone - but spent most of the weekend in the pit lane marshalling the racing. Note to oneself - don't book both days for 2009 - so was too busy to catch up with everything that was going on but did manage to see most people even if it was only in passing. The MGCC are i...

Re: New To The Register

Well all of the midlands are welcome actually. See the June/July events coming up threads below. Hope to see you at an event s...

Re: EEOTY 2009

The best campsite in Geiranger is right on the lake. A beautiful view with babling water behind. :D I spoke to the guys advertising the event today and they were very interested in us visting them next year. So much so, he insisted on giving me a pile of their information leaflets. I had intended ge...

Re: June events

Weather not looking so good for weekend - but what do the forecasters know anyway? Light showers for Saturday - heavy for Sunday - a standard Silverstone then sheltering in the garages :thumbsu: Looks like get the tent down asap on Sunday? Just got tent out of loft with poles & pegs. A full system t...

Re: Silverstone Arena - Sat 14th June

Looks like you will all be kept busy there Stuart. One of these years I must not tick both days to marshal the pit lane as there is so much else to see which I miss out on :( Damn my lunch break seems to coincide with the arena lunch break too. lol. May be it will be next year - but then again I may...

Re: EEOTY 2009

Geraingerfjord is a brilliant area with some great switch back roads in and out of the fjord. Absolutely beautiful on a hot sunny day seeing the cruise ships in the fjord. Many a memory bought back already from my last trip there :) http://hometown.aol.co.uk/kwil35/Norway%20Trip/homepage.html I am a...

Thanks Dieter, even with the thumb in place, I can recognise the registration on the top green sticker in your hand.

Have a good weekend whilst we enjoy Silverstone :thumbsu:

Re: June events

199 here for MG in the Trees. Might even have a passenger this time. My brother is going in his MGB GT and his daughter in law is coming up that weekend so she wants to come too. A family day out. At last will have a navigator but will have to convoy with an old MG which is more reliable than mine. ...

Re: Silverstone for a virgin!!

I have not seen the schedule for this year but normally Saturday - plenty of trade stands, full days worth of racing, events in the Arena (new for this year) Sunday - Pride of owner ship, Concours, Gymkhana, plenty of trade stands, half a days worth of racing, events in the Arena (new for this year)...

Re: Brillians hot weather - hot under the collar now too

Oil filter was my first thought after the fun I had in removing it at the last oil change but it seems all clean around there and tight enough. The drops (a few more this morning) are coming from that side of the car though unless it is runnning over the engine to get there. Did not realise I had an...

Re: Brillians hot weather - hot under the collar now too

These few drops are all that I have seen lost from the car. Only seemed to have dropped to the floor since Friday but engine looks like it has a covering that maybe has taken longer to arrive? Starting to drip form engine on and off since Friday but garage floor only seen it since Friday. Needed abo...

Brillians hot weather - hot under the collar now too

Great weekend. Was out on the Heritage Run on Sunday from Evesham to Hartlebury Castle near Kidderminster. Great day out for roof down motoring with up to 150 other MG's. We added a good extra display for the Festival of Transport event at the castle. Got hot under the collar tonight. On Friday, spo...

Re: Silverstone race fixture

Have to agree I would like it as hot as today. It is about time we had a good weather Silverstone but give us a thought as marshalls if it is that hot as we have to keep all flesh covered at all times so it can get a little too warm but I would prefer that to the normal wet weather gear we have to w...
