MGF20 Time Line cars

I am looking at a good selection of cars for the Time Line. We will have one car from each build year 1995-2005 and 2008-2010. For continuity I would also like the intervening years 2006-2007 if it's the car's first registration and again years 2011-2013 if it's a first registration year. I know we have the first LE500 entered with a 2013 registration. If I can fill the years I will put them all in.

Pre-production SAIC TF's are on 07 or 57 plates but I doubt we'll get one of those so I could go with a 2007 registered TF, I have seen a few of those

If you have already entered you will get priority as I am looking for the years 1995 (not an SAC or SVC registration as I am hoping to park them separately), 1998 and 2002.

I would prefer the 1995 not to be BRG as the 96 and 97 cars are.

Again, the 1998 car not BRG please.

I prefer 2002 to be an F because I have an interesting F on a 2003 plate, many late F's carry a 2002 vin.

There are a few 2006 registered TF's entered if you are interested in offering your car.

The cars will need to be there early as they will be on the front row facing the museum, I have created a certificate to describe the car which of course, the owner can keep after the event. If you intend to enter any of the competitions please don't put your car in the Time Line as I would prefer they stay there for the whole day.

You could use ours as a 2010 TF if req?

I'm going to remain true to the production, so 2002 and 2003 will be TF's so if anybody has one of these that can join the Time Line, please let me know.

My TF135 (Firefrost) was first registered in 2006. If you are interested I can be there "bright & early" - well "early" , anyway.

Jacquie and I are stopping at the Premier Inn,Warwick for 3 nights , so not far to travel. What times are we talking about?

Ps -I hope Condor Ferries don't p**s us about and get delayed. We're on the early morning boat from Jersey on the Friday, so should have plenty of time to drive up to Warwick by Friday evening.

Hi Bill, I noticed that you had entered and I know your lovely car, however, at the moment and for originality and continuity I want to put in cars built in the year not registered. But saying that and to avoid gaps if I can get an 07 registration TF I will be in touch with you straight away. This will give me a car from 1995-2010.

Again, if I can get a 2011 and 2012 registration I can go right through to 2013 as there is a 2013 registered TF coming.

I still need 1995, 1998 and 2002 and you'll not only get a great parking slot you will also get a lovely certificate to keep.

Ok Stuart, please pm me with your vin number, registration number and date of first registration from your V5. You will need to be there early and stay all day and be available for the parade of Time Line cars.

Oh and it's August 1st no other date, August 1st that's Saturday 1st of August.

Hi Adrian,

I read your reply as needing a car that was built in 2006. Presumably from unfinished cars when MGR closed its doors and there were cars built under the control of the administrators into 2006.

Otherwise this springs to mind:- "I know that you believe that you understand what you think I said, BUT I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant!"

Hi Bill, no cars were built in 2006. I covered this in a recent article for FasTForward. The PWC ring fenced cars were all completed by June 30th and given that build date.

The next were the NAC pre-production TF's in 2007 before the LE500's in 2008.

If I can get a 2007 car, I'll go with a 2006 too to create an unbroken line. If not it will only be the years of manufacture as 2007 cars were only pre-production and I don't know of any in private ownership.

You could have my car if you want but its not standard its made in 95 but registered in 96!
I think you probably want a standard car register in 95
