CTM evening meal

Post by Keith Williams » Mon Feb 02, 2009 8:20 pm

The CTM event is getting closer :thumbsu:

We are intending to have the CTM evening meal at the Allesley Hotel in their restaurant or even in one of their a private rooms along side their bar. (may be a small minimal charge for this). The Coventry Hill hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the Allesley (even in the snow) so I hope we can all meet up for a bit of a knees up together. Any one staying in other hotels may need a short taxi ride to the Allesley.

We could do with list of those wishing to attend so we can confirm details with the hotel.

Numbers are building up well for the meal. Plenty more space yet though :D

I will speak to the Allesley tomorrow, to book us in.

Will also confirm with the hotel nearer the time or even on the day of the event for any late comers, so don't worry we will all get in. All welcome :thumbsu:

Never to late for joining an MGF dinner John :D

Always space for a few more :)

The Allesley seem as if they will be flexible with the numbers as long as I can confirm details within a few days of the event.

More the merrier :thumbsu:

I have spoken to the Allesley today and they have offered to put on a carvery meal for us as an extra instead of just their usual restaurant menu for the night. This will mean we do not have to wait so long for the food as we will be a large group and I Suppose it is easier for them too. They are offering us a 3 course carvery dinner for a set price of £14.95. There will be a few starters and sweets to choose from. I will call in and get the set restaurant menu tonight and post on the forum if anyone one wants to preorder anything from that but the carvery seems the best way to go to me. I need to confirm with them by the end of the week if we would like the carvery option and how many would like to book off the main menu.
It would be good if you could confirm your choice please asap.
We are pushing 30 for dinner now so it should be a good night. I will confirm with them nearer the time on the number, so anyone else wishing to join us will still be welcome. We will be eating in the main restaurant, 7:30 - 8:00 pm as they would not give us the side room for nothing :thumbsd:

The Allesley have taken a deposit off me today, so I do hope I will see you all there on the 21st :thumbsu:

As promised earlier, here is the standard hotel dinner menu if you do not want a carvery.

But the carvery deal looks even better now after seeing the standard menu :D :thumbsu:

Even the reception say their carvery is one of the best, even if they do say so themselves

I need to confirm with the Hotel by Friday at the latest if we go for the carvery so please let me know asap your needs. If any one wants a vegetarian option, this can also come under the carvery deal (but we may need to let them know in advance if you wish to eat at the same time as the carvery is ready)

Allesley Hotel – Seasons Restaurant Menu (may be subject to change)

Starters

Soup of the day £3.95
Brussels pate £4.75
Creamy garlic mushrooms (V) £4.75
Lamb or vegetable samosas (3) £4.85

Mains

Baked salmon steak with butter dill cream sauce £13.75
Butterfly chicken with lemon, garlic and herbs £13.25
Individual nut loaf (V) £13.25
Bakes stilton, mushroom and onion pudding (V) £13.95
Gammon steak, 10oz £13.95
Sirloin steak, 8oz £18.25

Desserts £4.95

Belgian waffles
Ginger pudding
Warm chocolate fudge cake
Dairy ice-cream – 2 scoops

If you want something off the main menu, if we pre order it, it will be ready for the same as the carvery. Let me know.

If you want to do your own thing and want a specific type of food let me know and I am sure we can steer you in the right direction for a restaurant.
