So - I wonder how many people have registered so far....
I do hope I will have some company on the way to the rendezvous.
Any other Runs in, Adrian, apart from yours ?

Mykel wrote:Adrian, thanks a lot, but we will make the TB&TR (ah, those abbreviations  ) the highlight of a holiday week in England and haven't got the faintest idea yet whether this will be the start or the finish. :D

When all's planned and decided on, I will sort out accomodation.
I've recommended this budget hotel for the Saturday night, it's 1 km from the finish, most European cars will stay there so you'll be in good company, many you will meet in Luxembourg in July.

Ruth, I'm not actullay organising a run in, I'm asking experienced cars from my region to come along to the hotel to make sure our European friends get to the start OK.

I hope some regional reps will organise run-in's, if not, maybe they would like to say they're travelling at a certain time from a certain place and an impromptu convoy could occur.

By the way, there's a Shell fuel station 400 metres from the start so don't get stuck with expensive Motorway fuel. We just want you all there and hungry.

In fact, Simon and Ann have given me some books that I've decided to auction on the evening, all money raised goes straight to the charity, so if anybody else has something that somebody else may like, please let me know and I'll auction them too.

I've been told I have to do this to make some noise

I need to check some things out before committing and booking though.

If you ARE going to do it, let me know which route east you plan to take to London - and when.

So far I seem to be the only person in this area planning on doing it, and I don't fancy
trying to find my way to Wandsworth on my own unless I have to........ :|

Make your way to the M3 and go straight into London, it's not too far off the end of the M3 (if you can get to the M4 it's even closer to the end of it)

I believe John and Chris are coming up. You could meet Tim, Paul and Co close to the A3 or come round to Lakeside and join us (you could do some shopping while you're there  ).

Talk David and Andrea in to it and you could meet up at Church Square Autos ?

My goodness ! I could do half of the Arctic Circle Run as well !
Only with it being the height of summer and all, perhaps it should be called
the Tropic of Cancer Run.
You've given me something to think about now, Adrian. I guess it all boils down to
the price of petrol in August. :?

Well I've only been and gone and booked myself a room at the Ibis for the Saturday night :o
I was going to drive back to Poole after the Event, but seeing as how I could get a room for £38
rather than the £100 I was expecting, why not.

Looks like I will be starting the game at Lakeside......though this is subject to change.

Excellent Neil, the gang's together again :thumbsu:

Ruth, it's one of the reasons I chose the hotel, it's where I needed it and it's clean, tidy, basic and cheap.

We'll be there picking up our guests at 17.00 if you wish to join us, follow the M25 through the Dartford Tunnel, keep on the left side going through the toll booths (keep £1.50 to hand) and take the left side of the left tunnel bore as you will exit the motorway soon after you leave the tunnel. Any problems my number is 07824 665728. If you get there earlier (or on Sunday morning) you're just minutes from the Lakeside shopping complex.

room is booked. so no way back now ... :D

I did my online registration yesterday, but I'm not sure if it went through... :? Is there a way to check or do I need to send in a hardcopy as well.

The other good news is that Kasper and Marion will attend as well, so I don't have to defend the mgf.be flag all by myself :)

next step is to arrange the trip Ferry or train. The intention is to arrive in Dover around noon on Saturday and leave on Sunday afternoon aroud 4- 5 PM.

Hi Luc,

I went from Dunkirk on Monday, day return ticket for 39€ from DFDS, awful Terminal there but nice, modern ferryboat. We were even on the same one out- and inbound. They go every 2 hours, we went 10am and returned on the 6pm boat from Dover.

Hi Luc
I would try to register again through the online shop as nothing came through to the shop database, so there is no registration yet for you.

Luc, check with Kasper, maybe you can take the same crossing. I believe he's confident of getting some more Dutch cars from MGCCH so you could all travel together, I've told him I can come down to Dover or Maidstone services at J8 on the M20 to meet you.

I think it may surprise you to know what car he is travelling in too :D Sorry, sworn to secrecy

I'm in contact with kapser, and 99% sure we"ll travel together. We are now waiting for Bruno's answer before we book the crossing.
