Welcome to the Midlands region

The area looked lonely without any posts so thought I'd start the ball rolling.

A fresh forum and hopefully with regions better identified to people, Steve might have a chance to identify where we all are in the Midlands to create a 'natter network' that might be easier for more people to get to than the existing ones and create a more active region. To help out, please come and introduce yourself to the Midlands region forum.

Hi Keith, I thought I'd keep you company. :D

Well, I have been an MG Enthusiast for many years and have owned my MG BGT for 21 years!
I also have a 2003 MG TF from new and a 2005 MG ZR from new. I have no intension of selling any of these cars.
I am a member of 5 or 6 Forums including XPowerForums, Org. and FPower.
I live in Sutton Coldfield.

Hi All, long time no see, unfortunately don't get on the pc much to see whats going on and due to Chris's job the Wednesday meet is a no go for us. The Xmas natter looks like a good one and the trip to the museum (which we've never been to) so hopefully there will be a few "midlanders" going and it will be a good chance to meet up with everyone :thumbsu:

Hi guys

Seen you around on the forums but not met you face to face yet Gaz (or I don't think so anyway). Know Sutton reasonably well as I was 'dragged' up in Erdington not a million miles away from you.

Steve was looking into a Sunday pub meet instead or as well as the Wednesday night one but there was not much feeback of where would make a good venue. We were hoping it would move around the region which is 'vast'. Especially in the 'winter' months a Sunday meet would be better for most and saves driving out on dark nights which no one ever likes when you can just sit infront of the fire instead.

There are already a few names down from the midlands for the xmas natter (it is filling up fast so get your name down if you want to attend it, limit seems to be 100 this year?)- watch this space (or FPower) for maybe a convoy down on the day unless you are planning a night stop down at the dog. I am sure nearer the time Steve will arrange something.

Sutton Coldfield/Erdington....it's such a small world. I lived there for many years from a teenager to my late 30's. My parents owned a photographic shop in South Road Erdington - anyone remember it?

Well if you go any where in the world every one seems to have heard of Erdington or know someone from there :)

I do remember that photographic shop on the corner of South Road. My family ran the grocers in Station Road for many a year - Badgery's. So an even smaller world. lol

Well the memory slips with time - Badgerys was on the corner of Johnson Road on the left going up to the Station from Gravelly Lane ;)

Richard, I live close to The Horse and Jockey. The road opposite Jockey Road at the lights.

Be good to have a meet, maybe next spring/summer.

Good idea,
What about using 'New Hall Water Mill'? Its just on the Wylde Green Road.
They have their car park on a large field and I'm sure they could be persuaded to give us a corner for ourselves. Something of interest to see(Water Mill) and they have a small Tea Room and toilets. Free of charge.
Gaz.
