I think we'll hopefully see you for some breakfast (if we get up in time !!!)........................
Re: June events
Ann & I have a Job List that is too big for time off to go to the Cotswolds but Breakfast at Hill Top may avoid the Wahing Up job.
We were at a nearby Pub today so we paesed by Hill Top for some fresh asparagus. They said that they may be busy tomorrow so we made a Reservation for upto 8 at 0900 tomorrow. It is under MG Group (with my telephone number as Guarantee)
We may not be in the 'F' as it is topless with an uncertain weather forecast.. The leading edge of the HardTop has rain erosoin thru the Gel Coat so it is getting an Epoxy coating and paint.

Cheers Geoff. Hoped if we were there at 9:00 we would be ok for a table but better to be safe than sorry. I would have hated to have missed my breakfast if they were busy.

Re: June events
Have to admit that breakfast was more than excellent
We will have to ensure all our runs and meets start from there. lol
I too have more pics of animals than cars. Having problems getting them off the camera tonight via the card reader. I also seem to have lost my lead to get them directly off the camera. Pics will follow shortly?

199 here for MG in the Trees. Might even have a passenger this time. My brother is going in his MGB GT and his daughter in law is coming up that weekend so she wants to come too. A family day out. At last will have a navigator but will have to convoy with an old MG which is more reliable than mine.

Re: June events
Weather not looking so good for weekend - but what do the forecasters know anyway? Light showers for Saturday - heavy for Sunday - a standard Silverstone then sheltering in the garages Looks like get the tent down asap on Sunday?
Just got tent out of loft with poles & pegs. A full system this time
Hope to catch up with you all during the weekend. Proberly be in the bar as I will be chained to the pit lane for most of the two main days. Going down tomorrow afternoon to pitch the tent and watch a little of the practice sessions if weather OK.

Re: June events
Well what did everyone think of silverstone then? Good turn out as usual, and nice to see no rain for a change.
Some really nice F's-TF's and think its great to see all the ones from abroad.
I got there just over an hour late on the sunday due to the A491 being closed off without diverstions, however was quite pleased with cars performance as it was its first real outing since doing some engine work, And she still returned 50.6 miles to a gallon, which with prices as they are is pretty good.
How did everyone else get on?

Re: June events
Hi Stuart
I had a great Silverstone - but spent most of the weekend in the pit lane marshalling the racing. Note to oneself - don't book both days for 2009 - so was too busy to catch up with everything that was going on but did manage to see most people even if it was only in passing. The MGCC are improving the Silverstone weekend and the good weather this year really helped. A fantastic range of cars there with a great turn out of F/TF's. Needed to have a day off today to recover but relaxed at work instead.

Re: June events
Pity I can't make tonight either. Off out to meet up with a guy that left our works at start of the year and if I get time, grovel to my brother on the phone as I forgot his birthday today until I got to work and my PC reminded me
Have to keep the eyes open for a few more evening car doo's to maybe get to now we have the longer 'summer nights'.

Re: June events
Due to some creative time planning, I may be able to make it after all
Can just about squeeze in half hours car cleaning too.
Hopefully see you later Geoff.
