Midlands Sunday lunch - June 29th
With such a busy month on the MG front, it looks like it will be hard to fit in a Sunday lunch but we could have a late, late June meet on the 29th if that suits people.
Another new venue to try, thanks to Alan & Jeanette

Re: Midlands Sunday lunch - June 29th
Doesn't look like I will be able to make this one
Have a committee meeting the day before which is then going to be followed by a BBQ & lots alcohol. An early morning drive the next day from Essex to the pub meet isn’t sounding very appealing.

Be good to see you Stuart - hope you can make it.
Be good to have another car join our group
For anyone else who does not know where the pub is, there is a map to find it on their web site http://www.marstonsinnsandtaverns.co.uk ... dIrishHarp along with menus etc

Re: Midlands Sunday lunch - June 29th
Good lunch - other than that pudding So much so, the cheese and biscuits came out when I got home to get rid of that taste. A real bad choice there. Was such a let down.
We will have to get around to doing the pudding club http://www.puddingclub.com/puddingclub.html to get a proper pudding. Looks like its a Friday night out - if you can get in as it seems a popular event.

yes, I think the bit of pudding I ate has now solidified, certainly feels like it has and my god did it rain on the way back
seem to think getting a date for the pud club was a problem before.

I thought I may have made this meet but the car has a seized rear caliper and a slow puncture in one of the new tyres.

It's the other side, looks like I am going to need another set of rear discs and pads though.

Re: Midlands Sunday lunch - June 29th
Sorry to hear the news Chris.
When my caliper seized it did it in a cloud of smoke as the wheel locked up. Amazed how much heat built up in the wheel too. Happened a few weeks after fitting new pads and it took the pads out completely along with the disc. What a pain!
