Not as busy as June that I can see but ................

July 13th:
SWMGF run to Abingdon Museum (See South Wales Forum)
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1605
Could be good excuse for another breakfast at Hill Top :D & a fast blast down to Abingdon for the day. Could have a word with Simon (who is doing the southern run into MGFest) so we can have a country run back to the midlands via 'Gaydon' ? We could check out his route for him too :)

26th-27th July:
MGFest08 Gaydon
including the Northern Run into the event on the Saturday - 10:00 start at Leicester Forest East Services (North bound) on M1.

Good to see you chose the best day to go Pete. I am sure joining in the Northern run to Fest swung it for you :D

If anyone fancies the trip to Abingdon on the 13th for the SWMGF charity day, you will need to put your name down on the SWMGF area (asap) as the numbers will be limited to 30 cars that can fit onto the central square in Abingdon opposite the museum.

Still not got my hands on the southern run to Fest from Abingdon for a pretty route home via Gaydon but will keep chasing simon ;)

Got the Southern route into Fest off Simon today.

Could be a good day out on the 13th. Breakfast at Hill Top and then a blast down the motorway to Abingdon. Time to view the town and museum. See the SWMGF hand over a 'large cheque' to start off the push to help get a permanent display of the MG name in the museum, then a gentle 60 mile run back home via Gaydon pretending we are going to Fest.

Anyone up for it? Need to let Dave (Red Leader) know asap to book your space on the square.

Cheers Pete for starting off the names on the list for the northern run to Fest.

It was looking as if it would only be me and Steve doing the run

It might still be just the 3 of us though? Saves on paper if we don't have to print off to many route books though

Still looks plenty of space on the Abingdon run on Sunday.

I intend having a blast down on the motorway to get there around 10:00 and work my way back slowly up via Gaydon using Simon's route to Fest on the way home.

Geoff

If I am feeling better by tomorrow night I will pop down to the Bull. Have to see how it goes. I will make a descision tomorrow afternoon. Think going to have at least another day off work to try and sleep off this man cold.

Alan

Fest camping ticket 11 here. I booked what seem an age ago but assumed many more would be ahead of me. Looks like the tickets not selling out that fast. A lot saying they are camping but maybe they are just turning up to pay on the day? Can arrive 16:00 hrs onwards so a gentle run down on the day as nothing has been mentioned of helping set up etc.

Take it easy I had the pox as an adult and it took a long time to get back to normal again.

Well you all missed out on some great food at the Bull last night :thumbsu: Strawberrys and cream to finish - mmnnnnn well nice. Could only have been better if it had not been pouring down outside.

Hope to see you at Fest Stuart.

By the way Steve, are we having a parking area for the region at Fest like we did last year? If so that would give a central area for some of the newbies in the area to join up with us :thumbsu:
