Hello All!

Have just purchased my first ever MG and I'm the happiest bunny alive! Its a silver 1.8 MGF year 2000, in good condition but stereo isn't working, i can't get it to turn on. Any suggestions welcome!

Hope to hear from you all soon!

Emma

Hi Emma and welcome to the MG world. I am sure you will keep on smiling once you start driving the car.

The radio, is it live at all? If not the fuse may have gone. I believe it is fuse 17 in the main fuse box under the steering wheel or you may also have an inline fuse at the back of the radio too. Fuse 17 also does the cigar lighter I believe. If you have power to the radio, some but not all the radios have security codes to get the radio to play. This should have been supplied on a 'credit card' with the car.

Where are you in the midlands? Look out for our local events.
