Two options
1. re use the run from M40 services to get to Pride of Longbridge

or

2. Meet up at TGI Fridays in Coventry and go in via Kenilworth & Henely in Arden.

Not sure which is easiest for you to get to at that time of day. Both around 40 miles.

I guess for Pete and myself TGI Fridays would be an easer place to start.

I'm easy with either option, TGI's would give another route in so I guess is the most logical option, easier for you as well Keith ?

Pete & Chris, I have had to pull out of the Longbridge tour as you may notice on the main thread for it. Have had something come up in the afternoon that I just can not miss or be late for so will have to give it a miss this time. May be Tim will organise another one later or may be even our region can organise something as it is in the heart of our area.

Did look at a route last night too from TGI to Longbridge :x

Will email it out to you incase you want to use it but if not I won't be offended. :P

got the route thanks Keith, pity you can't make it it but fully understand.

You still up for the TGI route Chris, we could meet at J22 and flash past TGI...

Wow Pete :o

Glad I can't make it now with such an early start but then again I would have been joining you in Coventry closer to Birmingham.

I would have thought, given a clear road, Longbridge, even with the country route, should be no more than 45 minutes from Coventry. On a clear direct route should be under 30 minutes. Think TomTom is over doing the time there but with peak traffic you do need to give yourself more time than usual I suppose. My guess would have been 2 hours the total trip from yours and even that might be over kill but you never know with the traffic at rush hour?

Hope you have a good trip. The visitor list is changing daily so hope you get there ok :thumbsu:

Chris, being as the weather looks crap on Tuesday, I've come up with an alternate route, its about 50 miles avoiding motorways, using the motorway is about 48 miles, Keith's route is about 70 miles. Working on my route, its about 1.5 hours starting from Ibstock, so a more reasonable start from Chapel St of say 8:00 am, what are your thoughts ??

Any one thinking of attending the Melton Mowbray classic car and bike show on Thursday?

If the weather is OK - looking like sun shine & showers on Thursday at the moment, I might have a run across to check it out.
