Hi,
Just got my vvc a week ago, I needed a car didnt have a lot of cash it was a toss up between an old mondeo or this cheeky little red number gathering dust.
Mechanicals sound, body work generally good but needs some TLC. more history than Windsor Castle (mg owners club sticker was the previous owner)
Help cant insert picture
Sorry forgot, from Felixstowe

Hi to all
Just bought an MGF that is a project to bring it back to live. It is a Dark Blue / Cream Leather non VVC car.
It is lower than a snakes belly at the moment so the first job is to get it pumped up. Then the next (probably in parallel ) job is the head gasket... which like Elvis has left the building and needs replacing.....
I am sure I shall be pestering you guys for advise...

Re: Welcome - new visitors read me first.
Hi guys
Just joined this forum. Bought Ted S2 EJF from a dear friend a few months ago, here's a photo. Full known history spanning the last nine years - my pal knew the first year owner so I regard the history as continuous from new. Mileage when Ted came to me a very genuine 21500 as a result of being a sunny summers' day car. Now Ted is my everyday steed the mileage is creeping up.
Ted came with matching hardtop in alumina green which I now use to decorate my wood shed. The hairgrip alloys are shod with Goody F1 Eagle GSD2s which some claim to be a terrible tyre, especially since I had one fail today. There's a hole in the sidewall but whether that's cause or effect I shan't know until it comes off the wheel, hopefully tomorrow.

Looks very nice - I've always liked that colour. Had a bubble in one of my GSD2s once as you describe - I use Toyo's now and they've been absolutely fine ever since.

Morning all (well it is at the moment)
I'm venturing in to F territory, and pick up my TF160 on Monday.
Should be good weather for a trip home from South Wales

Hi all, Having spotted a few lovely MGFs & TFs recently around my part of the world (seemingly enjoying the lanes of north Suffolk!) thought i'd see if any of the drivers of these very smart motors are on here.
I've had an '02 TF for a couple of years now. Survived the dreaded HGF with a recon Freelander head, and addressed several other minor issues.
Still love the whole thing though

Hi all,
New to the forum, although longer standing MGCC member just renewed. We have two F's. A 160 Trophy which the wife has commandeered, and a 1995 1.8i which I returned from Japan so nice rust free car. My son and I have used it on occasion with MGs on Track, which proved to me what a greatly underestimated car the MGF is.
I'd love to do some further competition with our 95 F, but we'll see how the finances go! Hope to meet some of you soon.

Hi All,
Recently bought a '95 MGF 1.8i for a very reasonable price on eBay.
Just joined the forum and wondered if there are any other members in the Huntingdon area?

Hi
I live in Bury (near Ramsey) and have a 2000 mgf in BRG
You might see me about the area in April (car is on SORN at the moment).
Let me know if you need any help - I am not very mechanically minded but having had the mg for nearly 4 years have learnt a lot of bits and pieces.
I would recommend going to MG90 at Silverstone this year 21/22nd June (see the events section) you will be able to meet hundreds of other enthusiasts as well as buy loads of stuff for your MG.
Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,
Not far from me at all!
MG90 looks good will definitely try and make it.
If you see an Amaranth purple MGF give it a wave it could be me.
Cheers
