8th Sept'13 MGCC D&C Riviera Run
Prov. date released
The M.G. Car Club Ltd., Devon & Cornwall Centre have great pleasure in announcing that the Cornish Riviera Run for 2013 will take place on Sunday 8th September. This year’s will be the 21st. Cornish Riviera Run and to limit petrol costs will be shorter this year. In order to refresh the run, we will be breaking new ground avoiding Truro for the first time ever. Following favourable feedback from last years run we will be returning to the Tamar Science Park at Derriford for the Start. The start will be later at 10am so that people can have more time for breakfast or tea/coffee in the on site Bistro. The route will be via Gunnislake, Bolventor, Nanpean to finish at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm at Penhallow. Lunch will be at the Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor.
All vehicles entered will be provided with a traditional rally style plaque containing the Vehicle entry number.
Entrants will be required to check in at the Tamar Science Park by 9.00 a.m., where the run will be started by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth who will arrive for judging at 9.30am.
Vehicles will assemble at the Tamar Science Park and be on display at the lunch break Car Park. Lunch will be available for the people who have pre-booked.
Entry cards will be hand punched tickets at each stage. As with previous runs all participating in the event will be encouraged to dress in the style to suit the age of their vehicle.
The event ends at Healeys Cyder Farm, Penhallow where a number of awards will be presented after the cream teas and the farm will be open for free viewing.
The event is open to all M.G. cars (regardless of age) and other makes of Vintage and
Classic Cars 1919-1988. The number of entries is limited to 70 vehicles, so book early
to avoid disappointment!

news just in....
"Hello again everyone, as a previous entrant to the Cornish Riviera Run I thought you would be interested to receive details and an Entry Form to this year's Run. Once again it starts from Plymouth but ends this year at Penhallow with a lunch stop at Bolventor. Please give copies to anyone else you may know, thank you."
