The Dartmoor Lodge, Peartree Cross, Ashburton, TQ13 7JW.

Wednesday 25th October, 2017

After Lin & I had lunch at the Dartmoor Lodge last week, we had a long chat with them about our meetings,
the result was that they are more than happy for us to hold our club meetings/meals there.

We have booked an initial reservation for Wednesday 25th October (from 7:00pm in the bar before going into the restaurant at 7:30),
we will not be required to pre-order meals, we only have to confirm numbers attending so that tables can be prepared, the only expection is possibly the Christmas period .

If the majority are happy with the venue on the 25th, this will be our new 'watering hole',
it's initially on the Wednesday as the 25th is a carvery night.

From November we intend to hold monthly meetings to fall in line with other MGCC Centre & Register club meets,
these can be either the 4th Wed. or Thurs. which ever suits the majority.

Now that I seem to be spending more time in Devon since retiring, hopefully one of our visits will coincide with a meet and we'll be able to join you all. Unfortunately, dates don't work in October...

Looking forward to the first of our monthly meetings at the new venue tonight.

The first meeting at the Dartmoor Lodge was an overwhelming success with 20 attending for our first meeting.

The Dartmoor Lodge excelled in making us welcome, tables were made up ready for us to sit together, the service, menu meals and carvery were excellent.

Quick discussion with all who attended, it was agreed that all future meetings will be held there, we will also be meeting every month on the 4th Wednesday (except December as the 4th Wednesday falls on the 27th).
