Stoneleigh Show ~ Sunday 21 February

Post by nigelandjo » Sun Jan 17, 2010 8:27 pm

Link for ad here: http://www.classiccarshows.org.uk/MG.html

AA route finder says it's 113 miles from Burnham and 2 hours 20 minutes. Show starts at 10am, should we aim to get there about 10.45am (miss the initial rush)? This would mean meeting at Sedgemoor Services for 8.15am and about 9.00am at Michaelwood Services. How does this sound to everyone or would you rather a slightly later start or earlier? Answers on a postcard post and names please.

Thanks,

Nigel

This will be my first trip to England (stopping at Heathrow airport doesn't count) and my first big MG show.
So I want to be well prepared and have my to-buy-list up to date.
Anybody has a list of the traders being at the Show. I've heard that Brown&Gammons would be there. What about MikeSatur, MGF-Centre and Motobuild ?

Cheers,
Pascal

Hi Pascal,

be good to see you there!

MGF Centre I don't think have been there for a while, not sure about Mike S / Motobuild.

If in doubt, contact them to see / order what it is you want from them.

Cheers

Col

^Thanks for your reply Colin. I've already found this page, but there's no official listing of the traders being at the show. :(

Mike Satur was certainly there either last year or 3 years ago. Don't recall Motorbuild being there, but I might be wrong :) Are you driving over?

Yes. I'll be there with some guys from the MGCC-Luxembourg. But unfortunately not in an MG.

Try E-Mailing them and asking. Stoneleigh normally is good for older MGs particularly the MGB.
The Websites will give you their prices so that you may order your parts for pick up at the show.

OK, starting to get closer to this now, so we need to start firming up times etc. As per my original post, AA route finder says it's 113 miles from Burnham and 2 hours 20 minutes. Show starts at 10am, so should we aim to get there about 10.45am (miss the initial rush)? This would mean meeting at Sedgemoor Services on the M5 for 8.15am and about 9.00am at Michaelwood Services. How does this sound to everyone or would you rather a slightly later start or earlier? Let me know please.
Thanks,

Nigel
