Just got home from a great weekend, the weather on our return was awful, we covered 992 miles in total.
PS The "abandoned" fleece was searched & nothing was found, so its no good Ron & Barbara applying for a job with the Border Agency then??

Re: 22-23 Aug'15 Kempenrit 2015
Dozens of old friends came together and lined up 150 MG's together in my backyard (therefore I could bring 3 MG's to the event) ! It could not became better ! Or yes, it could, if the weather was not that party-pooper at the end of the event, but hey, at least the weather was super during Day before and most of the time on Sunday, when the tour was driven. ! I'm always astonished when I'm driving these nice roads and scenery's, which I didn't knew they existed, around my own home place. You don't have to go to Eifel, Moesel or something like that to have such a nice tour ! Very well done Erik & Co !
Thanks also to Luc, for being the driving force after The day before. It was a pleasure to help you again in this !
Thanks to Hotel Vé for being a good host for our UK guests
Thanks to the people who were there. Without the Uk guests (with Adrian & team as driving force for many years now), Kempenrit would not be the same, and there also would not be a day before, which I always love a lot !
No thanks to : The rainclouds at the end and also absolutely no thanks to Vossenhol, where the service is very lousy, not friendly, and not commercial at all, whose deed !
Ps : your comments regarding "Vossenhol" could posted here : https://www.eet.nu/averbode/het-vossenhol#recensies (off course it can be done in English) or here : http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_R ... vince.html

It was the first for many as we took 42 cars over that year. I had a lovely feeling about the Kempenrit event when we went in 2005 and I've never looked back either. Maybe we can talk them into another in five years timecolintf wrote:Kempenrit has always been very special to me.

That's where I hid the beers for Erik & Hans and the wine for Fran & Annick along with Dieter's trophy and Rosi's present. I was trying to keep it dry before I gave it to them

Could it be that that umbrella (the green one) was left on the parking ?

No it was a different one. It was broken and at that time there was no focus on saving the umbrella, just to get into the car as dry as possible. Though the owner of the umbrella got an unwanted shower anyway
It showed it is not possible to get an unfolded umbrella of that size into an MGTF.

Re: 22-23 Aug'15 Kempenrit 2015
The green umbrella was from an MGCC Holland Octagon Tour (2009 I think) it was a replacement for the original that was left behind once (at the top of the Grossglockner in2010 !).
Kasper got me a replacement so I'm glad it wasn't mine this time
Poor Tony, he was helping to keep the rain off me and out of the car with an umbrella in each hand

Re: 22-23 Aug'15 Kempenrit 2015
I found such an umbrella opened up on the parking .... still in good condiition so I started using it instantly and couldn't understand how people had left this.
After the cleanup, I tried closing it to step in the car .... and found the reason why it was left.
