Too right it is, we have the best view over the valley from our room, the snow is settling so we went for a bracing walk after a huge lunch. Waiting for the evening surprise then dinner and drinks later, Ton and Gea have just arrived, Jurgen's here so the European family is assembling, 12 tonight and 30 by tomorrow. Markets tomorrow, the zoo on Sunday, can't wait !.

What a wonderful evening we all had. We had a nice walk through Blankenberg and arrived at a home of one of the locals and treated straight away as old friends to the home owners. We were treated to gluwine (probably spelt wrongly) and some food. Other locals then arrived and soon we had the festive window opening. A tradition within Blankenberg. This was followed by more Gluwine and finished off with much laughter and a great meal at the Haus Sonnenschein Restaurant and Hotel

Arrived home safe & sound after a very pleasant flight back from Cologne - compared to last Thursdays flight

Hope everyone is now home safely.

Super weekend with great friends, location with delicious food & Gluhwein

Yes truly a great weekend..the 1st International MG Christmas Meeting (herein known as IMGCM

).

The hotel service was amazing, spot on just as it was back in the summer, everybody was enjoying themselves, all visits went very well including our visit on Monday to Bonn (and more Christmas markets

) thanks for the lift there to Ton and Gea. A nice comfortable on time flight home last night and we were all tucked up in bed with a cup of tea by 11.00 after unpacking and finding where all the Xmas gifts were in the luggage.

Roll on the 2nd IMGCM next year.
