Can't help you with that one Neil.
Had a quick look and the links only look as if they are going to the information leafletts not any other area.
May be some one forgot to put the information on for launch day today? Can only suggest checking back now and then.

edit - update: Just checked the MGCC web site and they quote
European Event Of The Year 2011.

THE MG CAR CLUB Belgium are currently experiencing some problems with the online booking for the 2011 European Event which takes place at Spa.

Please do keep an eye on http://www.mgcc.be which should allow for booking very soon indeed.

Where are the 2, 3 and 4 * hotels they promised ? Those prices are too high in my opinion for a weekend event, whether it's the EEOTY or not. I'm going to ask where is the availability of the programme of events without the expensive meals and hotels.

looking at the accomodation list for the four nights & the event the prices per hotel style are (unless I am reading it wrongly)
**** is 1550 to 1570 euros
*** is 1470 euros
** is 1350 euros
and camping in bungalow for 4 people? = 1100 euros = 275 euros each [not sure about this one is right  ]

Out of curiosity anyone remember the cost of the EEOTY was in Norway last year.
I think that Adrians suggestion is the best way to go?

What do you do ??? A long weekend with a reasonable hotel to include travel and not much pocket money for 2k+
What are the alternatives for us ?? Half Board in a Luxury hotel in the Swiss Alps for a week or several Luxury Weekends in UK ??
Last year there was a rumour of an EOTY in Croatia however when this was denied, we made or own plans to visit Dubrovnik which was quickly forgotten when Tim suggested a Party in Geneva.
We may resort to a Fly trip back to Dubrovnik. This was my playground 40 years ago when I worked/lived in Belgrade, Sarajevo, Mostar and Zadar. There is a rumour that some old friends may be in Dubrovnik next July. Could be the makings for a Natter !!

I haven't heard from Alain yet, but I am told the cost is the hire of the entire circuit. Can we attend the event and not drive the circuit if this is the case ? We should be told one way or another.

Let's see what happens, I've still got a hotel booked in Spa.

Three of us know the cost of the Norway EOTY. We had to replace our melted Credit cards. You cannot compare a Hotel on the Fjord in Norway with Belgium and the additional cost of a nearby track. The Fantastic Tour up thru Denmark and Norway and back justified any cost compared with a two hour drive across Belgium.
No doubt the Trackday is a fixed cost spread over the EOTY participants. This was part of the "What Do You Want" discussions before our Belgian friends set it up. It would not be fair to burden others with the costs of those who drop out.

maybe the Chalets (Bungalows) "camping" at Hotel Sol Cres is the way to go?

Event then is approx 1140 Euros for 2 people in 1 car ??? 670 Euros 1 person 1 car?

Or, if you want Hotel, Hotel Sol Cres 2* brings the price up to 1380 Euros for 2 people in 1 car. 840 1 person 1 car

plenty to talk about on Sunday :)
